Horticulture is the art or practice of growing plants for purposes of food, beauty, comfort and to source materials. Those who wish to become professional horticulturists must pursue a B.Sc. Horticulture course. It is a three-year full-time undergraduate course that is divided into six semesters. Horticulture is the section of Agricultural Science that mostly deals with ways to cultivate vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs along with maintaining gardens, nurseries, greenhouses, landscaping and ornamental trees.

Examination & passing Criteria

Semester system with Common Board Examination all over Maharashtra conducted by Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board, Pune. Minimum marks for passing the subject will be 50 % (Minimum 40% each in Theory and Practical exam for separate passing.
